Single-use vapes have been illegal to sell, offer, stock for sale or supply anywhere in the UK since 1 June 2025. Reusable and nicotine products must still meet specific design, capacity, ingredient, packaging and notification requirements.

Understand

Identify the product before judging it

A reusable vape must be rechargeable and refillable and, where it contains a coil, the coil must be replaceable. Nicotine-containing consumer products also have specific limits and notification rules.

Construction

Record whether the product is rechargeable, refillable and has a replaceable coil.

Nicotine

Capture the stated strength, pod or tank capacity, refill-container volume and ECID where shown.

Safety

Report overheating, fire, leakage, charging faults, adverse reactions and missing child-resistant features.

Use these prompts to build a reliable account. Do not take risks, recreate a failure, dismantle a suspect product or expose private payment information just to collect evidence.

Single-use or reusable

Do not rely on the marketing name; record how the device is charged, refilled and recoiled.

Published limits

Nicotine liquids are limited to 20 mg/ml, 2 ml tanks or pods and 10 ml nicotine refill containers.

Notification

Search the relevant MHRA publication list and record the result without describing it as approval.

Incident evidence

Keep the device, packaging, batch and charging details only where safe; never recreate a failure.

Report the exact vape concern
